If you’re thinking that this is a review of the movie, then you are wrong. Its been almost 3 weeks since its release so, I think everyone has probably seen it.
So, this is just me talking about the movie.
After watching trailers I thought its gonna be amazing, then some friends told it wasn’t that good but at last I watched it & this is what I saw & how could I even miss it!!! It was an Ayan Mukherjee(wake up S!D) film & it had Ranbir & Deepika.
I really liked the way movie started off, the places at the characters were. The development of characters was really fantastic.

The Manali Trekking part was good too, that reminds me of dialogues. Dialogue Writing & Delivery were superb in its own way.
I don’t know if anyone noticed, but some dialogues were intended in two different ways, it was upto viewer’s imagination how to interpret them & that’s what Ayan Mukherjee does so well.
Chemistry between all the characters was so well, Especially I liked Kalki’s performance as a gone bad diva.
The another great thing about this movie is that you really fall in love with characters over time, I know these things do not sound good from me but….
Some people are saying it was not good or was boring & all, but I wanna point out that this movie did some unexpected things and that’s why I liked it.
Music & songs were good but the only song that really stuck to the mood of movie was Ilahi by Mohit Chauhan.
I’m not gonna lie but at some points inthe movie I was just seconds close to cry… (yeah yeah.. I’m emotional…) & I kinda liked that also.
Now you’re thinking If all these things were good what was bad?
~Well, the answer is time. It became very slow after the Badtameez Dil song… Like whole movie was just there & made me feel that Manali trip part was like ages ago…
Too many songs..!!! But what can you do? It’s a cliché for every Bollywood movie.
Movie seemed like realistic but at some points it wasn’t.
I really wanted to see where Avi(Aditya roy Kapoor) & Adi(Kalki)‘s relationship would go…. But instead they introduced joker named Taran (Kunalroy Kapoor).
& what the hell happened to those strict parents of Naina(Deepika). It wasn’t necessary for movie & would have made it even longer still,
NO CONSEQUENCES??Really??
After all it was a good watch because after a very long time (since 3 idiots) a movie came that makes you cry, makes you laugh & makes you learn how to live your dreams.
Philosophy of the movie was amazing. Everyone can relate their selves to the movie. Some dialogues (translated) like,
“You Can’t have everything”,
“you must leave something to get something”,
“Make the most of now” etc etc.
really helped the movie.
So… As a verdict I’ll say that it should be watched by everyone who hasn’t & could be fun if you watch again… But it was not an all timer.
Still I don’t support the huge hype it has created, especially among girls about Ranbir.. (& its not that I don’t like Ranbir, I do) but it makes everything overrated.
Well it was a happy ending movie. What more can you ask?
So…..I’m Ending this with a quote.
If you want a happy ending, that depends on where you stop your story.
